When Syncros says they've made a mid-range trail wheelset, it's like suggesting that Santa Cruz has made a mid-range carbon hardtail. Mid-range to them is on another level.

The Revelstoke 1.5 wheelset, named after the famous Ski and MTB town in British Columbia at the foot of the Canadian Rockies, has a different understanding of what a trail wheel should be.

Built around a Syncros alloy hub featuring sealed cartridge bearings and 28 straight-pull spokes, the wide alloy rim profile suits a wide range of wide trail tyres giving you a stable and consistent ride, even when pushing hard, and they offer great tubeless tyre security and pinch flat protection. The 28 spoke design is said to improve compliance and reduce vibrations transferred to the rider and reviews we've read would tend to agree.

At 1944g for the pair, the Revelstoke 1.5 wheelset is a great all-rounder with performance on the burly side of 2kg but an actual weight that defies the punishment these wheels can handle.
